Remember, zero risk doesn’t exist, but by following these rules, we can achieve the highest possible level of safety. Ultimately, safety is everyone’s responsibility.

1. Smart: Keep a safe distance from the rest, and always be aware of your surroundings.
2. Legal: Obey all traffic rules, stop at red lights, and respect pedestrian crossings to keep everyone on the right side of the law.
3. Polite: Support newcomers, maintain group etiquette, and ensure no one is left behind. We’re all here to have a good time together.
4. Safe: Use reflective gear and headlamps for evening rides, and consider wearing protective gear, especially in larger groups.

Essential Rules for Participation

At ROLL IN RO, our city rides are all about enjoying the urban landscape together, but it’s crucial that everyone follows a set of rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines before joining us on a ride.

How to Prepare

• Wear Protective Gear: At ROLL IN RO we strongly recommend – (though we do not impose as we respect personal freedom) – If you have protective gear, prioritize wearing wrist guards, helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads for your safety. Protective gear prevent 80 % of fractures.
• Communicate Clearly: If you need to change your lane, slow down, encounter an obstacle, or fall, use your arms and voice to alert those behind you accordingly.
• Control Your Speed: Our City Rides are not a competition. We want to maintain a fun and relaxed atmosfere. Keep your speed moderate, in accordance to your level of training, in order to avoid accidents. If you are able to go faster, make sure to stop at times and wait for everyone to regroup. Maintain a safe distance from the rest of the group, especially when going downhill.
• Stay Vigilant: Enjoy the ride, but remain aware of your surroundings and your fellow participants. Keep an eye on your neighbours and be prepared to stop when necessary.
• Check Your Equipment: Before each ride, make sure your gear is in good condition. Tighten any loose parts and ensure your equipment is ready for the ride.
• Be Visible: Wear bright or reflective clothing to ensure you’re easily seen by others on the road.
